I've been a maker for most of my life, and for many years I thought of myself as an aspiring artist tragically handicapped by never having learned how to draw. But I have always loved color and texture and working with my hands, even if I had come to think of fine art as being something 'other people' did. Shortly after having my first child, I found myself in need of a creative outlet so I joined a local arts association Meetup group. At my first meeting I discovered gelatin plate printing and fell in love with the printmaking process. I've been covered in paint ever since. And I'm learning to draw.
